Wildlife Biologist- Barbara Webb 

tells us of the 10 different species of bats that live in the cave. They are insect eating, and they hibernate in the winter, and of a Nationwide issue; White Nose Syndrome. This syndrome; 
  • is an illness
  • likes the cold
  • caused by fungus
  • causes itching
  • grows on the wings
  • sets in, grows, itches, wakes up (from hibernation)
  • brought by travelers from Europe
  • Millions of bats have died from it
  • Has not made it acrossthe Rocky Mountains
Her Job- collect bats with a mesh net and weighs, identifies, basically gives bats a good health check.
